Wrong address in the I-129 form

Hi,

I have received I-129 and invitation letter from my employer and I want to take an appointment for H1 Visa Stamping.
But I am facing this strange problem: The address mentioned in the form I-129 is wrong (its not my current residential address but its my permanent address) and the invitation letter has been addressed to Chennai. My current State of Residence is Andhrapradesh but the state mentioned in form I-129 is Gujarat.

If I take an appointment in Chennai will I face issues because of the wrong address mentioned in the form I-129 or is there a way I can get my consulate changed to Mumbai (as per the jurisdiction of my permanent address)

Pls suggest.

How it can be a wrong address without you giving to your employer?

If your Gujarat address is in your passport, they might have taken that address. Before submitting your PP copy you must have change the address in your PP.

Changing the consulate may take some time 6+ months it has to go to USCIS throught the attorney who filed your H1.

If you have documentary evidence for your Gujarat address and your present change of address then you will not face any problem at Chennai consulate.
