Major volumes of pending applications at the end of December 2007:
I-140: 147,923
I-130: 1,291,100
I-485: 833,141
I-765: 220,679
I-90: 171,916

So, 833,xxx .....this number shows...that atleas I set for another 6 years with EAD/AP....should I celebrate this? what option is left?

This number also includes family based petitions.... nevertheless the situation is indeed dire.

You are right. Let us assume Family based is around 30%...that reduces employment based to 500k....but with the per country quota....this does not look good....it will take years and years to get the GC.

Nice trap though......Good job USCIS. Now there is no reason for us to revolt, as they have provided us with EAD/AP.....we can change jobs, travel etc.

THE WAITING GAME .............

but i-485 includes only AOS applications. Does it include consular applicatons? If not, the number only gets higher.

Consular applications does not file an I-485. However, keep in mind that the vast majority of I-485 applicants are neither Family- nor Employment-Based, but Immediate Relatives.

First, FB has larger quota than EB. Second, FB has retrogressed heavier than EB. Third, see the difference between I140 and I130 count.
There is no way FB accounts for only 30%. I think should be 70 or more %.
