Hi everyone,

I want to ask you a question, if somebody can help me:

I'm on H4 visa and I want to work as a volunteer, my question is:

.....can I work as a volunteer in a place where nobody volunteers, everybody is paid except me( I will not recieve anything, except experience)...so where I want to work it's not a non-profit organization....is it legal? I want just to make sure I don't work illegally.....does anyone know if there is a law regarding this matter?
I know I can work as a volunteer in a non profit organization, like social work, church, hospital....but I would like in different type of organization.....is it possible?.....like in Human Resources?

Thank you in advance!

Looking at the circumstances around your position, I don't think it is considered so called volunteer work.
it's very gray , but closer to black.

I remember that Mr. Khanna talked a bit about volunteer work on one of conf call.
Listen to March 8th recorded conference call. it's an hour long call and I don't remember when that issue came up in the conf call. You need to listen whole conf call and find it.
