Does working abroad for several months affect your chances of getting us citizenship negatively or is it a big no no? the thing is i got laid off in usa in 2009 due to crisis and had to go back to my country. i had several back to back few months absences, totaling about 16 months, but none of them was above 6 months.
during my stay abroad, as i could not find a job in the usa as i searched on the internet, (i am keeping all the job rejection emails) i had to find work in my country and worked there for about 6-7 months.
would this working abroad cause any negative during my citizenship interview? because i know that they will ask my tax returns and i think i should show my abroad income on my tax return.
all this time in the usa i had my insured car, bank accounts, my stuff in my roommates house and some of them in storage.
