Please my work permit will expire in 3weeks.I'm planning to file for renewal In 2 or 3 days.What might be the challenges of filing at this time?I know i should have this like two months ago. I'm married to a US citizen.My first interview was rescheduled because my spouse was not available.I will appreciate any input.

Just re-apply. You are a tad late and it will not be renewed prior to your current one expiring, but this is not the end of the world.
