I am on an O1 Visa (I140-approved). My wife is on an O3 visa. She would like to start working as a Physical Therapist in New York.
I am aware that an O3 visa doesn't get an EAD (work authorization). I am also aware of two feasible options:
1. look for cap-exempt H1B. I tried but it's not easy to find one.
2. Convert to F1 visa, look for universities that offer Day 1 CPT. It's time consuming (not sure how long and how to do so without breaking my bank).
Would you like to throw some light on the above 2 options? Do we have any other ways for my wife to start working sooner as a physiotherapist (specially with some sort of premium processing steps.)? Please suggest. I am in a time sensitive boundation.
