Work as an independent contractor for a foreign company?

Hi there,

I have a I-485 pending for more than 180 days. And have EAD card.
I switched my job to work as an independent contractor for a foreign company.
The company doesn't have any branch or employee in US.

I want to know what I can give to INS if they send a REF for employment confirmation evidence?
Do I have any problem work for the foreign company?
