Withholding of Removal and Employment Authorization

Hi,
I was granted "withholding of removal," and I am aplying for a mortgage to purchase a home. The lender has noticed that my Employment Authorization card will expire in less than 120 days. The lender needs to see that I am authorized to work in the US and that I will be in the forseable future (so that I can make my mortgage payments); the lender is demanding that I show that I will get a new Employment Authorization card soon. I applied for a renewal on 03/16/2006 and have a copy of the application and the receipt from USCIS which I have sent to the lender.

I'd like to show the lender the section of the immigration law that says that I as an alien with withholding of removal, I am entitled to a work authorization card. If someone could point me to the section of the law that specifically talks about this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

The cite is 8 CFR 274a.12(a)(10).

Be aware, however, many lenders chage withholdees higher interest rates (since you have no legal expectations of staying here permanenlty).
