Winning DV2008 after DV2007

i wont dv2007 and had my cp interview in very early Feb.

Its now close to 2 months and i have not got visa. embassy say that they are waiting on police clearance from one of the countries i stayed in previously.

i am worried i wont get visa now. also i am worried or not sure that if you are a current winner for dv07 and your name is picked from dv08 draw then will they notify you or wont because you already won it and its processing. does kcc have visibility of selected winners of whether they are processing for the previous dv lottery entry in some embassy

they will still notify you. And you can still go through the process again, and get a visa in DV2008 should you actually win.

police certificates

HI Dolphi07

I thought you had to take YOUR OWN police certificates of all countries you visited and take them to your CP interview (from what people are writting in this forum I think that comes in the second package's instructions). Is your consulate office doing a separte check in all the countries you visited previuosly? or are they doing it because you didn't take your own?

I will face the same problem If I decide to go for CP so I would appreciate your answer.

yes, usually people bring the police certificates personally.

nacho for most countries you apply for police certificate from police and take it with you to interview.

for the country i need police clerance, that specific country has procedure as per us consulate where you apply for clearance with police and police send it directly to US embassy without giving it to applicant. you cant ask for it and take it into interview unfortunately

Just as well this country i am waiting clerance from does have a somewhat reliable post system so fingers crossed it makes it soon to embassy
