Will they deny entry if OCI had not been updated?

Hi, I was issued OCI 10 years ago at the age of 30, as was my non-Indian-origin wife, and my 1-year-old child who is now 8. We all have new passports, and I never updated the OCI with new photos and what not (the rules are a bit confusing to be honest). WIll they deny us entry if we travel on these? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Can someone also tell me what each of us as to do exactly?

Also, just as a precaution, I would recommend traveling with old and new passports. Random semi-official entities you encounter along the way may require a random subset of documents! Go figure!

Thanks for the reply. Have you traveled to India WITHOUT having updated your file? My question is if this is actually enforced.

I have in the past but not recently. In the past few years, I have heard of cases where airline agents prevented passengers from boarding because of perceived shortcomings in travel documents.

Oh it's an airline issue. So they can see the status of the OCI in their system? Interesting.

I don't know what they can or cannot see but they can always ask for "proof" of something or other.
