Hi All,

I entered USA on Feb 2008 on multiple entry 10yr B1/B2 visa
I was granted B2/6 MONTHS in I-94 till AUG 2008.

My question are

1) How long i can stay in US legally?
2) Meanwhile, Employer is planned to do L1 visa for me after i go to India. Will there be any questions in Visa interview if i stay for whole 6 MONTHS?.

Thank You
Viswa

Until August 2008. No, you are allowed to stay for that long. They might ask you how you funded your stay here for 6 month though.

Millinon Thanks for your reply.
If my employer is ready to fund me to stay for whole 6 months.

Is it ok for me to stay till Aug 2008 also have no issues in getting L1?

Thank You
Viswa

As long you don't violate your status it shouldn't interfere with L1. However, they will ask you what you do on B2 for 6 month. B2 is not a work with (with a few exceptions). Its for business meetings and such.

Hi,
Thanks again...
Actually i came to US for attending meetings/trainings.
Since i got I-94 for 6 months. My client asked me to stay to attend rest of meetings/trainings they have it in next 3 months.

Shall i get invitation letter from my client reason for attending the rest meeting/training that they have for next 3 months.
Which i could carry during my L1 visa interview to avoid any confusions.

Can you advice on
If i stay for 6 months. May i know what all the documents i need to get from my client to avoid confusion in L1 visa interview.

Thanks a million
Viswa
