I filed b2 externsion for my parents and haven't hear back for a long time. since my parent is not planning to come back to USA in the future, they would like to overstaying B2 for 5-6 month, however, I am worrying about if the overstay will affect my pending 485 case since I sponsored their b2 visa filed the extension also.

anyone knows if parent overstaying will affect 485 case?

I do not think violation of your parents will affect your status, this will affect themselves not somebody else. This is just opinion waiting for others experience.

Did you find out why the extension is pending for so long ?. Did you received the receipt notices for extensions before their original/first I-94 expiry date ?. If you have followed all the rules...then i don't see your parents overstaying will affect your I-485 case.

As long you didn't help your parents to commit immigration fraud or lie on their visa application, you shouldn't be affected. However, they should think twice about what they are doing here. They will not be able to re-enter the US for 10 years (at least), no matter how urgent the emergency.
