will I have problems????

I got my GC june of 2004. But, in oct of 02 i was arrested for domectic battery but was never charged. I was asked to leave and nothing came out of that arrest. During the GC process i had no issues about this incident. Actually this incident happened after i filed for I485. I went for my finger printing during the GC process and i do not know if this incident showed up in the background report or not but my GC got approved without any interview . It was a straight forwrd case. Also, on the I485 form i had said no to the arrest question since i was never arrested until after a year of filing the papers.

Now, i want to apply N400. I have already answered YEs on the form for the arrest question. I got the arrest report from the police department that i am going to send along with the form. I went to the courthouse and they have nothing on me and the clerk said since no charges were filed there is no record for that. She said she can give me a certified report that there was no record and no charges or cases on me. I took that as well and am planning on sending that along with the N400. I have not had any issues with sice this one arrest. Not even a traffic ticket.

1) Is there anything else that i need to send?
2) do you see any problems with my case given the history. Will they approve my case? will there be a delay in the approval process for my case.

I don't think there is any problem. There is no conviction and no immihgration equivalent to conviction.
Only thing is you need to explain, if asked, that the arrest happened after filing I485 and before approval
and you wer enot interviewwd so you had no chance to disclose it.
 
Thank you for your response. Are there any more papers that i need to send or take other than the 2 i mentioned? I was oping for more input from more folks.

There should not be any issue unless there is some rule that required I485 applicants to report any changes to how they answered
I485 before GC is approved. We are not aware if these rules but anyone can share his thoughts.

Basically only conviction matters and you do not have any convictionr reocrd.

But if you want people here to tell you if there any delay/denial, no one can asnwer that for sure. There is only one way
to find out ---that is to find out by applying. Only USCIS decision matters.

So just file your N400 and enjoy the proess or suffer the agony of waiting. Everyone has to go thru this.
