will i get OPT if i complete MS in less than one year

Hi,

Please somebody help me with this.
I started my MS from October 6th 2007 and anticipated completion in this summer by August 19th 2008. I will be completing the masters in less than a year. So will i be able to get the OPT or is there any rule regarding that you have to be a student for complete one year for getting the OPT. please help me guys in this regard. Thanks in advance!!
 
yes, the university is accredited to Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), and my major is Computer Science.
 
Well as long its accredited you will be eligible for OPT if you were in F-1 status for one academic year prior to submitting the OPT request. From the language its not clear to me what "academic" means hear. It could very well exclude the summer so less than on year might be permissible. You should talk to a lawyer to be sure.
