Hi,

I was previously on a TN and had bought a condo in the US this year in May. My previous employment has finished in June of 2013 (after I bought the property). I have been staying in the US on vacation for 3 months with a tourist visa from July up to now. I have just received an offer and plan on going back to Canada to get a new TN. When interviewing with the boarder officer, would there be any issues with me owning a condo in the US? I lived in that condo and will be living there once I get the new TN and want to know how I should address that question if it were to come up?

Thank you.

Anyone can own a condo in US. TN does not require foreign residence, as you know. Plus, you correctly maintained a legal status all the while you were in US.

You will have no issues, and nothing to answer for.

lisa's opinion is incorrect. Visitor status was correctly and leaglly obtained, and the person was never out-of-status.

One does NOT need to prove residncy when getting TN. Period.
lisa's post are rife with misinformation generally, so you should ignore.
