I apologize for the late minute post. My plan is traveling out of country on AP today and returning later this week. What documents should she be carrying with her, given that AP sometimes draws more scrutiny from immigration officers. Thanks in advance.

I am after the exact same answer as I am due to depart the US on AP this weekend to travel back to England. I was planning on taking the following:

- AP Authorized letter
- Passport
- All Official immigration paperwork to date, including pending I-485 and I-765 successful application
- Marriage Certificate
- All joint bank statements / Utility Bills

Is there anything else I should take?

PhilH930.. what you have mentioned is more than enough..

1) Take all the originals of your AP(You only need to give one copy at the port of entry. In my case they returned all abck to me)
2) Take a photo copy of I485/I140/EAD (Some ppl suggest original)
3) Copies/Original(make copies for your self as backup) of your EAD (Not needed but it helps to have it handy), AP, 485 recepit, passport. In addtion carrying employment letter(just in case), last pay stubs also doesn't hurt.
4) Of course your passport.
5) You need not show your AP documents while departing USA but you need to give your I-94 to custom
6) Make sure whether you need any transit visa

Both you and dcmetro22042 have a great trip...

Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. My wife does not have any bills, marriage cert or bank copies. Are they truly needed or nice to haves. GC is based on my work and therefore approved 140 did not cross my mind.

What they primarily need is :
1) Take all the originals of your AP
2) Take a photo copy of I485/I140/EAD

The rest of the documents is in case you need them(which I doubt)

Thanks.

Yes Real Canadian is absolutely correct. You don't need any other docs other than Orginal Parole document and Passport.
I came back last month without any issues. I was not asked a single question at POE.

There needs to a sticky thread about this because each week someone seems to suggest taking every document from your birth certificate to DNA profile when using AP.

Once again, all that is needed is:
1) All copies of your AP (usually two or three)
2) Passport

And that is it - end of story.

LOL. I would love to get hold of my DNA profile :D
