Why fp not in code 2 but 3?

What does it mean to have your biometric(finger print) in code 3?
I did concurrent filing for myself and spouse and we both received our biometric notice today. Though I did one finger print last year when I was in school for EAD( EAD for F-1 student).

Any idea on that? No fp code 2.

Code 3(ten fingers and picture) is for the 485.
Code 2(Index finger and picture) is for EAD(unless you paper filed which does not require FP.

I think you might want to read Andy's reply to my question again. What he wrote did not mean that.

He said FP 3 is for 1-1485
FP2 for EAD if you did electronic filing( not for paper filing).

FP is a requirement for AOS, not indicating any sign at all; positive or negative.
