I got my AP approved and received 3 exact copies of them. Why do we need 3 of them? Is INS afraid that we lost some of them and give us some backups? In that case, INS would be so kind.
You need to provide one copy (AP) at the airport during check-in and the other copy at the port of entry and you can keep the 3rd copy. This procedure is only for the first time you travel. You could use your copy to travel in future.
I applied for AP in this March 11 and got a RFE on May 9th asking for a clearer photo ID. I made a color copy from my passport. The next week, when I called, they told me that my application was approved.
I received only one copy of AP, each one for me and my spouse. That was also sent to my lawyer. Is this the normal procedure? He sent them to me. Would this be an issue.
One is enough. Make photocopies of this one to distribute liberally to the airlines
You might want to check with lawyer , he/she should have the other (or other 2) copies. He might be thinking that s/he needs one for his/her file. Not true. You are the one who will be travelling not the lawyer...
