Hello my friends,

If my lawyer filed for the I-765 for me, who will receive the approval notice? me or the lawyer?

He got the receipt notice of the application, so I dont know who's going to get the approval notice?

Thank you

It really shouldn't matter. Ask him for the LIN number on the receipt notice, register a new profile on USCIS.GOV, enter the number and choose the option of receiving automatic alert. The approval notice will be emailed to you after your application has been approved.

Hi walker,

I have the number, the status is : Approval notice sent.

I wanted to know who will receive it, me or the lawyer? is the approval notice the actual EAD?

Hmmm. I'm not quite sure about that myself. When I filed for my EAD, the EAD card was sent to my International advisor while that wasn't the case with my friend though. He received the card instead of her receiving it. Perhaps someone who filed for EAD through their lawyers could share their experiences. :S

The EAD is for you and USCIS will directly ship it to you. However, your lawyer will receive a notice to inform him/her that your application was approved and shipped to you.

Be sure that your address on USCIS file is correct.

the ead should be mailed to you. every now and then they make mistakes and your lawyer will get the card.
