Hello,

I would like to know who is the good/reputed lawyer for immigration?

I am planning to get concurrent filing done with an external lawyer since my company has a stupid policy that they wont do "concurrent" filing.

Thanks in advance.

great lawyer

Call Martin Kaskavage in Philadelphia. He is through and excellent. He has been taking care of all my H1 and Green card process and anything to do with my family immigration. He is just too good. He represents big company like Mack Truck, numerous Casinos and other companies. His Phone # is 215-592-1240. Hope this will help

Thanks for your information.

Unfortunately, My company has a stupid policy that they dont do "concurrent" filing and they dont let me go thru external attorey as well..

I case in EB3 and it is going to be in vermont. Probably I will have to wait atleast a year for I-140 to clear.. What a pain!

I dont know why these employers dont understand the importance and seriousness of this whole thing..

I think that you may let your company file I-140 and then you file 485 yourself concurrently . You will need copy of I-140 and Employment letter from you employer. In fact 485 filing is not so complicated so you may think to file it yourself as well.
I think that many employers play smart by not filing concurrently so that you will stay them for more time and they can exploit little more. If they file concurrenly , you may leave them after 140 approval (using AC 21 portability)
This is just my opinion. In fact I am also in same boat and looking for help. Pl update your findings in this forum.
Thanks

1. If the employer only files I-140 ask him to file for CP option AOS is going to take a long time, if employer does not agree then fileI-140 with for AOS option
2. Once you get I-140 receipt you can file I-485 (even with out employer letter, they will ask for the employer letter at the last stage if not submitted with I-485)

When the AC21 law was passed there was no Concurrent filing, To take the advantage of AC21, your I-485 should be pending for 180 days AFTER the I-140 approval date, you can not use AC21 if you filed I-140, I-485 concurrently and are pending more than 180 days, I-140 has to be approved and then count the days after I-140 approval date for pending I-485
