first of all, you will have to go with whatever you put down in your lottery application when you first entered. do you remember what you said for native country/ country of chargeability? for US visa purposes this has nothing to do with country of citizenship, it is the country where you were born. this can also be where your spouse or parents were born...
second of all, canada is not an eligible country in the DV lottery so for you i hope you went with a european country where you were born??
all this aside, if you know the rules and are just asking which actual physical passport your visa will go in, i think you can probably pick it shouldn't make a difference... you just have to prove your country of chargeability is legitimate with a birth certificate etc.

Everything is fine, I have applied under my birth country, even have my interview scheduled, just was wondering which passport they use, that is all

i don't know how it works when you have 2 passports but i'm sure the consulate where your interview is has some kind of a policy... either way i don't see what difference it makes

after your initial entry into the US you will receive your green card. when you leave the US to go to canada you can use your canadian passport to prove citizenship regardless of where your visa was initially put, and when you return to the US you will use your green card to enter. no difference which passport you use for your initial immigrant visa....

Well, thank you, I know all of it, was just wondering if they have any rules for it or they just make a pick

it depends where your dv interview will be held: if it is in europe they will the visa in your european passport, but if it is in canada , they will put it in your canadian passport.

I am belgian and canadian but born in Africa. my dv interview was held in montreal , they took both belgian and canadian passports . they sent me both passports through DHL and they put the visa in my canadian passport only.............
