Which Date is valid ?

Hi,

On the I-94 attached to the H1B approval notice,my the validity of my visa is June 12'07.But on the I-94 issued at POE,the immigration officer wrote the date as June 22 saying that he is giving me 10 extra days to leave the country.Will Uscis have a problem with this if I stay beyond June 12 and leave before June 22nd.Thanks.

If you are leaving US for good, you can stay up to June 22 and hand over both the I 94 at the POExit.

If you are going to stay you must renew it ASAP.

I plan to apply for an H4 visa in India and re-enter using that.Will there be a problem if I apply for it in India and not do a COS here(because I need to travel and I know that it is considered as abandonment of COS if I leave) ?
Also,I have a New Zealand passport,so can I still apply for an H4 from India.Please help.
