which court for oath ceremony?

I had my interview in early June, was recommended for approval, and 9 days later got an email that I had been placed in the oath scheduling queue. - No news since then.

The US district court where I live doesn't do citizenship ceremonies. At the interview, the officer told me that I would have to go to a specific neighboring district court. However, this court doesn't hold another ceremony until December. Another neighboring court will have 2 ceremonies in September and one in the middle of November. It is only 10 miles further from my home then the one mentioned by the officer.

Would there be a chance that I could get scheduled for the court with the earlier oath ceremonies? Could I influence this? I don't have a really strong case why I would need an early oath other than that I need to travel abroad in mid December. If I had my oath in early December, I would have to go to a passport agency, which is far away from my home. If I had my oath in September already, I could just use
the regular passport application process.

I would be thankful for any insights you may have.

Did you request name change since regular oaths are not normally held at court location.
You can speak with an IO to reconfirm when and where your oath will be held.

Dear Bob,

thank you very much. Yes, I did request a name change. I am not sure what you mean when you say that regular oaths are not normally held at court location. Are the oaths not organized by a district court and then held somewhere in the town where the court resides? How would you recommend I get in touch with an IO, through the customer service phone line (1-800-375-5283)?

By regular oaths I mean non-name change request oaths. Since you requested name change, your oath would be held at a local federal court instead of at the DO itself.
You can speak with an IO by calling the 1-800 number and asking to speak with a 2nd level agent regarding your oath, Alternatively, you can travel to Raleigh (I believe that is closest to you) to schedule an Infopass.
