EAD renewal for the transfer case.

My case is transfered to Boston office from Vermont. My current EAD will be expired early of December. In case my I-485 interview is not cleared by then, I am planing to go ahead file the EAD renewal. My questions is where I should send the application? I checked with lawyers, Boston office staffs, and I got all different answers. There are 4 answers I got so far:

1: send application to Vermont.

2, send application to Boston office.

3. e-file on web, but I heard it's very slow.

4. drop the application to Boston office, they will send it to Missouri Benefit center.

Please help me with this mess. which way is the fastest. and I don't want to get transferred again for EAD renewal.

Thanks.

Some previous posts comments that since your file has been transferred to local office, one need to apply EAD at local office. Dont e-file. Paper filing is better.

----- that is correct becase your file is with them write on cover letter that file is transfred to them or also attach transfer approval copy with other stuff for EAD(Now you need to send new style Photo for EAD, AP)

Thank you very much for the answers and suggestions. I went to Boston office to submit my application, they told me they will send all EAD and AP application to Missouri National Benefit Center. they don't process such application in the local office, and I can't send it the application by myself.

Is that true?

same situtation

Ginnu/GCHope2,
I am also in the same situation. My case transferred to local office (Minneapolis). I had interview also on oct27th and still waiting for the approval because of pending name check. My EAD and AP is going to expire in May 05. Where should I apply for them? Local office or NSC.

Please share your suggestions

Do e-filing

Do e-filing. It will ask where you intially filed your I-485/EAD and then it will ask where is your I-485 now. Then it will automatically forward your application to a service center and most probably a case like yours (similar to mine) will be forwarded to National Benefits Center. Send all the supporting documents to this address. it's simple and by this way you will not loose much time.

Hope this helps

My case was transferred to Bloomington office too. I took an infopass appointment and asked the immigration officer where I should file the EAD renewal. She said "file to the Chicago Office" and gave me some forms and instructions. If you want to paper file your renewal, then you had better file to the Chicago office or make an infopass appointment to make sure.

Thanks everyone.. I will make infopass appointment as I attended my interview and still my case is pending because of the name check and will enquire about EAD too.
