Hello Everyone,

I got my GC in Mar 29th 2005. I made 4 trips outside US , each trip was approx 30 days per year, when can i apply for citizenship.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards
Kat

Thank you solid_traveling. My wife is not a USC and I'm applying based on 5 year rule. Can I safely apply on Jan 15th 2010?

Jan 15, 2010 sounds good.

However, a quick question ... you said you got GC on March 29, but your signature has lot of dates. What does does your GC show in terms of "Resident Since"?

Hi, you can apply exactly 3 months(90 days) before your 5th year...those trips don't matter....so you should be filling your paperwork 1st week of Jan 2010...its really simple don't complicate it.(especially since you have never stayed out for more than 180 days at a stretch)

Good Luck!

Thank you all. I have been watching the threads who filed N400 based on 90 day rule and very few received their interview before 5 year date period. I wanted to apply on a safe date to avoid early interviews.

Thank you in advance.

Don't bet on it taking 90+ days to your interview. USCIS has sped up quite a bit over the last few months and I suspect they'll keep the same fast pace to get as many people through to citizenship as possible so they can vote in November 2010.
Check my dates below. My interview is about 65 days from when USCIS received my n-400 Application - I'm hoping the early interview doesn't cause a problem. The best suggestion would be to follow the processing dates for your district office and keep your application ready to file at the appropriate time. Send away for your tax copies NOW as it takes a few days for them to show up.

Thank you GungaDin. I'm not in a hurry and as you suggested I will keep an eye on processing dates and will apply for USC.

Once again Thank you all for your support.

Hello All,

I finally decided to file N400 on January 20th. Do I need to send anything other than 2 Pictures,Green Card copy(front & back) along with my application? Please advise.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you in advance.

A sizable donation ($675) would help :D.

If answers to any of the moral character issue type are all NO's, then no need to send anything additional.

I would also include signed N400 with your application folder. :D

Other names used

Hello,

I always use my middle name and last name (credit cards, jobs etc) and on my driving license and other immigration documents I used first name, middle name and the last name. Do i need to mention this in "other names used" section to write my middle name and last name? Please advise.

Thank you in advance.

If you use your middle name everywhere, it is advisable to include your middle name in the N400 application. It will be along with your first and last name. It shouldn't be under "Other names".

Thanks Cheerus. I mean my credit card and in other forms I did not use my first name, I used only my middle name and last name so do i need to mention this in other names used.

Yes. List it under other names used.
It'll cover you in case the names on all your documents don't match.
