When can I change a job while in a GC process? 180 days after I-140 or I-485 filing?

Regarding my question at http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=214193
QUESTION: Do I have to work for the current employer in the entire process of the GC application?
ANSWER: No. You can change an employer in 180 days after I-485 has been filed. Also I-140 must be approved by the time you quit the sponsoring company.

Two weeks later after I posted above question, I got a response from the same question from my friend's lawyer.
She said "when your employer files for the green card for you, the US government requires that you remain with that employer for a minimum of 180 days after the SECOND STAGE (I-140) is filed".

......When can I change an employer while in a Green Card process exactly?

Sorry to say but your friend's lawyer doesn't know about this subject. Ask him to change the lawyer if possible.
The earlier reply you received is correct:
"You can change an employer 180 days after I-485 has been filed. Also I-140 must be approved by the time you quit the sponsoring company."

If the law has changed, then I can't say, but I don't think it has changed.
