When can I apply for citizenship?

I was granted asylum September of 2009 and I received my green card June of 2012,When can I apply for citizenship? I know that the usually count the time from when you were granted asylum to the date you received your green card for when you are applying for citizenship,but I am not sure when I can apply for mines. Can I apply for it this year?
 
you can apply in march 2017 . 90 days before the the 6th year as a green card holder (5 years after you got your green card not asylum)
 
I think when asylees get a green card, they are considered to have been a permanent resident already for 1 year (and this should be reflected on the card's resident-since date), so then it would be 5 years since the resident-since date, which is 4 years since you actually got your green card.

i think you might be right . so that would be march 2016 . almost there :)
