My oath ceremony is on Friday, 8/21/09 in Brooklyn, NY. What should I take? Green card & oath letter. Anything else?

The oath letter asks for:

* All reentry permits in your possession
* any other immigration documents in your possession

Also, between my first interview and 2nd interview, I traveled to Toronto, Canada for 8 days. Will that be a problem?

It shouldn't unless you already have entensive previous travel record and was borderline of the residency requirement.

GC and oath letter are an absolute must. If you don't bring your GC, you won't be allowed to take the oath. As the letter suggests, if you have any reentry permits, bring those as well, although it's not mandatory. The 8 day trip to Canada won't be an issue, as long as you're not close to breaking your physical presence requirements.

Don't forget the nasty attitude, you pick up those on Flatbush Ave and Atlantic Ave... It makes you a real New Yorker, plus you will be a citizen. :D:D Bring any or all documents relating your naturalization, because you will never know what they ask...:)

Thanks everyone. Another question: At the naturalization ceremony, they asked us to surrender our green cards, travel documents, employment authorization, etc. I had a travel document issued about 3 years ago. It has since expired. Should I have given that up? Also, before I got my green card, I had an EAD but that has also expired.
