I filed my n-400 in the beging of October '06.
Did not hear form them since then, my check is still not cashed and now I do not know what do do:(

Is this normal, what should I expect?
And if this is not normal is there any way to see what is wrong(if it is)...?
I'm from Cleveland, Ohio.
Thank you all:)

Thank you for you anwser.

I do not see any legal problem for it.
I moved in to the USA with my GC and got UGC 2 years ago.
Year ago became aligable for citizenship.

Did I make some mistake when submiting my papers?

Is it at least normal to get any responce from them.
What happend with all of my documents?

You should call them. Two months without a least a NOA is uncommon. Make a infopass. Good Luck!

cinoeye,

That seems too long without any response. How did your file it? You are supposed to mail the N-400 (with all the required documents) to Lincon, NE service center. I am also in Cleveland. Here is my status so far:

N-400 maile at early Nov. (could not remeber exactly the date).
Got reciept with Priority date: 11/13/06
Got FP notice on 12/4/06
Took FP on 12/8/06 (today)

Now, I am waiting for the interview date........ Hope won't be too long. FOr what I have heard in Cleveland, OH area, the average processing time from mail the Application to finish is about 4-5 month........

I would call the center for status if you haven't heard anything since 10/06.

Good luck to all.

Thanks for replay.

Yes I did submit my form and all documents to Lincon, Ne.

The only thing I see is different, I did not send it as a priority and reciept responce.

I mean at least you would expect them to say this or that is worng, you know.

Now I do not know should I send everything again or what?
Just contact them and ask what happend?
How can they check when I did'nt get any reciept number?

Please help.
:(
Thank you.

cinoeye,
When did you get your GC? Are you sure you are eligible? Your post is misleading!!

USCIS does tell you if something in the application is wrong. So, your case appears to be something else. It could be a case of lost mail issue or someone at USCIS misplaced your application or something that led to your application being untraceable. Like others have said, I would highly recommend taking an Infopass appointment.

There are various ways they can look you up. One of them is via your "A Number". The local DO has access to all your transactions with USCIS via your A-Number. So, they will be able to tell you whether your application ever reached the Service Center or not.

Hi,
I assume you did not send it via some sort of tracking service? Well if the cheque hasn't been cashed yet, it might have gotten lost in the mail. I hope that is not the case. Good luck!!!

It was sent by regular priority mail, but with out that confirmation reciept.
Missmolina I agree , my post was confusing.
I got my green card in 2002 in my country based on marriage with US citizen and than came to the US same year.

We are still married (6 years now) and have US born child 2 years ago.
Got my unconditional 10 year GC in 2005 when told I can submit for my citizenship.
Still I was not in a rush to do it right away, so I did it 2 months ago.

So should I schedule to go to CLevelands office, or I can check it via phone?

Since Lincon, NE is where the first stop for N-400 process, I would suggest to call them. If they never received your application and/or have no record of any of such, then you should consider to re-file again. Cleveland Distric Office is unlikely to provide any information to you (other than tell you to either contact Lincon or just wait).

Just my 2 cents.

I had interview on 24th and passed.
Very relaxed and not hard.
Now waiting for the oath ceremony.

Thank you all!
