What To Do Next ??

Hi Everyone .... I am hopping someone can give me some tips on how to proceed next regarding my N-400 application. My N-400 priority date is 07/26 in Kansas City. Currently, the Kansas City DO is processing application submitted in September. I have visited the DO office several times and they would not tell me anything. I called the 800 number and the same story. I recently sent a letter to the office of Sen Claire McCaskil and they just informed me that they heard back from the Nebraska office and my case is still in the FBI name check process. Also, I sent a letter to Mrs Bush about a month ago, but I have not heard anything from her office yet...
Anyone have any tips on how to proceed next ? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
Not much else you can do but wait if your case is stuck in name check and you haven't done interview.

Mustafa Bhai,

Is your priority date 07/26/07 or 07/26/08? If it's 07, I see you getting a little impatient coz it has been over a year and you are still waiting for your IL, but if it was recently filed, I mean in July of this year, you have long ways to go so please don't get too impatient so soon. Give it sometime and everything will workout.
 
Thank you guys for the infor. I am sorry for the confusion on the date part. I applied on 07/26/2007. I am going to wait and see what happens. I guess I should be cleared by November since that is the date they gave to clear name checks pending over a year. The only reason I am worried is I am planning on getting married next July and I want to make sure I get the paper work done for my wife so she can come back with me.

I did my N-400 through Nebrasca/Kansas City. I hope my Timeline gives you an Idea.
I had quite a run around with them never knowing where I had to go next. Had my FP done in Wichita (2 hours away), my Interview and my initial Office in Kansas City (2 Hours away) and then my Oath Ceremony even though I was told it would be in KC in Topeka, ony 45 min away.
KC can be really fast or really slow. The main thing is that I have to agree with Bobsmyth. You are probably stuck in the namecheck and just got to wait it out.
The worse thing you can do it going by your own dates. Each and every case is unique and of course different and holding on to a certain date can and probably will drive you bonkers.

Thank you Laddybuggy ... I called the customer service center today and they opened a case for me since my priority date is more than 30 days outside of normal processing time for KC. I'll wait and see how that goes. I hope it wont take very long .. I guess November is not that far away :-)
