Ok ND with August 2000 got approved..ND of October 2000 got approved recently..What happened to ppl that are in the middle of those cases?..What the hell is happening? This is not fair at all. MY ND is May 2001 and I would love to be approved but what about cases of may00,jun00,july00 etc?

And to my frustration, I called BCIS about the RFI AND THE GUY HAD NO CLUE ABOUT IT! I mean i said hey i received a RFI..and he goes I dont see it on your status..I am like WELL???? what does it mean? HE had no clue..

This is so frustrating..I gave my RFI and stuff to my lawyer since I had paid him 1000 bucks to file my application early 2001..and he is preparing to send everything...

My lawyer who is a nice fellow and a great immigration lawyer is as clueless as everyone on this forum..

Well, no-one knows what is happening here. My ND is Dec. 99, and I'm still waiting for approval. This thing makes no sense!!

WEll the lastest information for a Oct 2000 approval is from one of our members "GraceMarc". GraceMarc! Can you plz make sure that this information is 100% authentic from your friend and that he has already got GC stamp and become a permanent resident. Sometimes mis-information has a devastating effect on this forum, therefore just to make sure.

thanks,

No doubt!

thanks,

I am positively sure the information is 100% accurate. He got the approval just two weeks after he submitted his RFE. And also I called my attorney office to double check similar informations from others. My attorney told me some cases with ND in October 2000 had already got green cards on hands. And he still told me some cases in his office with ND in 1998 were still pending. He said he could do nothing so far for delayed cases.

You know what this means?

All of this makes me think that people who got RFIs will be approved few weeks after they submit their response. Provided there is nothing else wrong with their cases. Why else would they ask for Medicals knowing damn well that the medical expires after a year. Trust me last lwasuit took the wind out of USCIS and I don't think they are ready for another one just yet. Its time for USCIS to play too goody shoes.....

wel guys...i think what happened is with oct2000 approval is...
they might have assigned cases on the basis of certain time span to different IO's.for example: june cases are with A officer and july cases are with B officer and so on...!and the officer who is handling oct. cases is'n bothring much to have 100% info needed to final approval as they instructed in recent memo "officer will try to avoid unnecessary delays for minor resons".so this is just my guess..hope u agree.!

That's a good explanation, it makes sense Paramvir1. But there's a simpler one. The yare giving priority to the strong cases. The ones that got asylum directly by old INS and not from a judge... any thoughts??

good thought.... but:

I also noticed that these two cases were second handed. They were "heard" from friends or relatives. Chances are that there were miscommunications.

No offend to those who offer the info, I would not give this rumors full credit until those people come out and post their timeline themselves.

one-of-u! I kinda agree with you. I tend to only believe people on this forum who have themselves received something concretely. Most of the information people get from others is not well-meaning. For example someone posted on this forum not too long ago that his ASylee friend "immediately" applied for citizenship after getting GC and got it within 6 months. That turned out to be BS.

Are you sure that the person with ND October 2000 received RFE? ARe you referring to RFI?

Thanks for the relaying the news to this forum.

arizona poet..i donnt think they can just intentionally make discrimination based on how the status was granted.cuz it's not in their rule book.their rule book only says i" in order it was recieved".but now just to speed up the cases they might assigned officers a bundle of cases to process in certain time limit.for exa. they told officer 'A' ..hey buddy...! you got finish july cases in one month..etc.so some officer are fast than others as human nature.
