What the Approval Notice says...

I just received the official notice of approval for my I-485 and my bio is scheduled on mid-September (yes, they approved me before my bio; don't ask me why). This is what the notice says:

"The above application has been approved. Prior to receiving your PR card you may be required to report for biometrics processing. Please do not take any action at this time. If you are required to report for this processing, you will receive another notice advising you of the date, time, and location to appear. If you have not reeived your cardor the above mentioned notice to appear for biometrics processing within 60 days, please call this office at the number listed below."

I guess it makes more sense now.

Sorry...timeline is:

Asylum Approval: 5/00
I-485 ND: 7/01
RFI: 7/05
I-485 Approval: 8/05
BIO: 9/05
 
I would wait until my bio in your situation. If you want you can setup an appointment with local USCIS office and see if they can bio you earlier or maybe stamp your passport.

This doesn't make much sense

I mean it is great that your 485 is approved and I cogratulate you for that but don't they need your BIO for your GC, especially your picture????

He received the approval, Not the actual Card.
