What is the meaning of this status? "This case has been sent for a standard interview

Hi All,

following is the status of my wife's case..which was originally in TSC but now it is in NSC?

Can you please shed a light on this?

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case has been sent for a standard interview.

On January 23, 2008, we transferred this case to our LINCOLN, NE location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. You will be sent a notice when the interview is scheduled, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our LINCOLN, NE location. Is Your PD REALLY 4/2007 and you are EB2 INDIA?

Maybe your case is getting pre-adjudicated then...so when visa dates get to your PD, your wife should get it.

Otherwise this is really strange....

Yes it is 04/2007 and i dont understand why..this soon....if she is getting pre-adjudicated thats good...lets see i am waiting on the letter for the interview...

can body share their experiance if they were in this same situation....

This is the same as my situation. My wife is the primary though (EB-2) and she got her green card and I received a transfer on 9/12/2007. I haven't received anything since.

My case was xferred from TSC to NSC on Dec 04, and was also set for a standard interview.

Since then, i just received a letter(s) for me and the wife from TSC, that the initial/preliminary processing of the case is complete, and has been set for a standard interview, and NSC will contact me if they need anything or when the interview is set.

it has been more than 2 months in this status, and we have not received any Interview Notification Letter(s) yet, and i am getting a little worried. From my search within the forums, some folks have got the INL's in as much as 2 months, and i am wondering they moved bunch of folks from TSC -> NSC for interviews and now NSC will have to work with local offices on finding appt's.

However, if any one can come forward and predict a good time line, it will help folks like us - regards
 
I am also in the same boat ...

I got the same message whereas my PD (EB2-India) is in May 2007.

My 140 was approved in January and I got the below message last week. Anyone, in similar situation, please update your experiences ...

Hi guys,
Did anybody get any development with this interview thing?
I talked to the IO today (not thru the POJ method, but thru NSC line, still was transferred to her), and she told that in response to service request from Novemberby lawyer they sent his office the letter about the interview (I assume the same story as standard interview in this thread), except that the lawyer never received anything and I've nver had any changes in the on-line status...when I talked to TSC rep by POJ method, she never ever mentioned any interview... BTW, the IO from NSC said that because of that interview I'm not eligible for 180 days memo (NC pending for almost 3 years)
Any ideas and information on the interview, could it be some system error?
