What is the function of CS at uscis

Ravi I take this as an insult. It is my case and I can be as patient as I want to be. Citizenship is a priviledge and nothing else.
I rather be stuck in a Name Check and make sure that my Name is cleared.

I am very happy how my case is going and it has nothing to do with Yoga or whatever. That is completely silly.

Whatever !!!!!

I just "love" people that think they need to insult someone that they don't even know ... please look in the mirror !!!!

All of us can be mentally challenged in one or another situation. Don't insult people, that is not right to do.

Like I said .. Citizenship is a priviledge, deal with it.

Hi Ladybuggy! I am sorry if I offended you - I was just trying to be silly, and managed to do it!! People are just unloading their frustration at the process. Don't take it personally.

:)

Guys (and gals)....it seems like everyone is highly frustrated with the USCIS and the naturalization process. What really adds to this frustration (if not outright fuels it) is the fact that we are given the royal runaround by customer service every time we try to inquire about the status of our application. Ladybuggy, you are 100% correct. Citizenship is a privilege. However, when we pay for something, especially when it's a large amount of money, we expect to get something in return. I see nothing wrong with demanding information on the performance and status of my financial investment. Yes, citizenship is a privilege. The ability to obtain accurate information on the status of a paid service is a RIGHT.

I don't understand this constant parroting of "Citizenship is a privilege" to explain everything.

Yes it may be a privilege but the US government has also laid down clear guidelines on what it takes to become a citizen. All we are asking for is that these guidelines be followed without ambiguity and with some amount of efficiency.

Yes but it is not is the USCIS Hands when it comes to Background Checks. They hand it over to the FBI so let your Frustration out on them. Yes if you pay for something you want to get something in return and in some cases it might just take 6 Month, in others it takes years. Doesn't mean I agree with it but they just want to make sure everything is done by the book. This is not racial based now what I am going to say but they added "extra" security after 9/11. I had my Visa in a month and only had to give a Thumbprint at the Airport, look what we are going through now.
I feel sorry for the people that have to wait years and years and years to get their citizenship but blaming it just on UCSIS is not right. There are more departments involved.

I think that the USCIS is the ONLY party to blame! Consider this: the USCIS is a service level 3 customer to the FBI, which means that FBI is under no time constraint to perform the name check. If USCIS placed a certain time frame within which it needed the name check process would be completed, there would be much less frustration, as well as much less squandering of public resources to file WOMs.

Ok, I just called USCIS to see where my Case is at. She told me she could not give me any Information. Just as expected. Then she told me if I wanted to know if my Oath Letter was sent out I need to make an Infopass. Since my DO is 2 hours away which I told her she was kind enough to file an Inquiry (hope I spelled that right). She said give it up to 45 Days to respond. Usually an Inquiry on your case can not be filed until 90 Days after your Interview. So not all at USCIS are bad !

LOL .... ok ... I am not praising the USCIS. I personally had some bad experiences myself since they could of caused huge Problems for me if my Application would of gotten into the wrong hands since they sent it to someone else in a complete different state ....

What I am saying is that everyone wants answers ... you, at least half of this board and yes myself too but also think about they are people just like you and I and just doing their job and doing what they are pretty much told what they have to tell us.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I am sorry for each and every person that has had bad experiences with USCIS and Name Check Delays and so on but bashing them is just not the right way to go I think.

There is a difference betweek complaining and bashing don't you think ?
