Hello Friends,

My online status has changed to

"On August 28, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

- can some please advice me what would be next step.. Doest this mean my name check was cleared by FBI..Can I expect approval or should I request expidite.. Please help me understand the process.

Don't mind. Please come back to this forum after 1 year. During this period FORGET that you applied for 485.
Trust me, then it appears you got approval fast

I wanted to find out how many people got their case approved after 1st FP... based on recent changes is it possible to expect the approval... any thoughts..

One main think I need help is name check.. does this msg implies that my name check is cleared.. pls advice.
 
This is very early for your case to get approved but you never know how CIS works! ;)

The message is a standard message that they have received your FP and they will put your case in Que and from then on only your luck will be able to move your case. So please don't start worrying about your approval as it really takes sometime to touch your case by normal standards of CIS.

I believe that the VSC is now trying to avoid issuing FP notices until it is likely that the I-485 will be processed before additional FP is needed (which wastes everybody's time).

For your ND date I'd count on at least 5 months and as long as 13 months or more. See http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?p=893389#post893389 (post #1292) for a recent discussion of this.
