Hi,

I am filling I-485. In G-325 Biographic information form, could you please tell me what file number A- and alien registration number are?
Thank you so much for your help.

Alien Registration Number!

If you look at your I-140 approval notice, you will find your alien registration number printed in the "BENEFICIARY" box with your name on it. You will print that number in "FILE NUMBER A" box of the G-325A form.

Hello everyone, I would GREATLY appreciate if someone could answer my question:

My wife won a green card and we are doing AOS. We are filling out the forms right now.
My wife has A# from her expired work authorization (she is J2, not subject to 2y home residency requirement). Me and my son do not have such numbers.

I wanted to ask specifically about G-325A form:
For my wife: should she put her A# where it says "File Number" (very first line, right after citizenship) (see the first picture) even though she does not have a "file number"???

What about at the end (see the second picture)???

For me and my son: we do not have any A#s, is it OK to type none?

----------------if you and your Son dont have A# then dont write .

-------------------you and your son dont have A# and dont write. USCIS will assign A# and will write the A# on your and your son forms.

Thanks a lot ginnu.
Do you think, in this case, putting the A# in the first example would be active proactive in working with USCIS? What would happen if we will leave it blank, because it is asking for "file name"?

I tried to type the number in, but the program is not letting me to type in all 9 numbers, only 8 numbers are fitting.
