What are the steps of the green card processing?

What are the processing steps and what are the time frame between each step?
As I know that the USCIS accelerate the green card approval for asylee that the one can get his green card in just 6 month after applying for I-485.

So that why I got a code 3 biometrics without getting Code 1 or 2 or i am wrong??

Steps

Here are the exact steps of getting a green card and timeframe.
(1) Apply for it. Wait a day and then
(2) Take a chill pill. Wait five minutes after that and then
(3)Pray for it. (for at leat a year, it used to be 5-6 years.)
(4)Did I mention take a chill pill?

It's really hard to tell if there is any specific steps to the process. Some people get approved in 4 months, some are still waiting after 4-5 years. I think it all depends on your luck.

Bio code 3 is a combination of code 1 and 2. If you did bio 3 that's all you need. Hang in there and pray! I got approved in 1 year and 3 months. I hope you hear the good news soon!
