Whats the website to check J1 Visa Status? Also my hubby got a letter from SF stating "this is the waiver certificate & he does not have to return to India & 2 yr rule has been waived" but he thinks the final letter should come from Washington DC. Is that true or?

His thinking is wrong. The finla waiver come from immigration center like SF not from Washington. Washington sent dirty paper (you may receive it even after the final waiver) stating that this is a favorable recommendation and has no meaning. Go to www.state.gov and search for J visa and go to waiver to check the status, you will fing favorable recommendation sent
