we need some actions for the coming immigration reform

We really to take something actions for ourselves.
That is because there are many items on the immigration reform agenda that deserve more attention than the asylum adjustment backlog.
A couple ideas that might help
1) News stories about the issue: Does anybody have contacts in the media? Preferably in major TV news organizations? A good TV news piece (and/or in a major news paper) about "how long the wait will take for an asylee to adjust to LPR status," may strike a cord. If I had any contacts I'd do it, but I don't have them.
Example taken from USCIS site: a person that applied for adjustment from "Aug. 5, 2003 [to] Dec. 8, 2003, [will probably get his/her LPR status on] Oct. 1, 2014 [to] Sept. 30, 2015" - 10 to 11 years wait, right? And citizenship in 15 to 16 years from applied date.
2) A "diplomatic" but firm campaign to send letters (once more probably) to senators and congress persons would also help; especially if there is some exposure on the media. So, we should start by trying to get some media attention ASAP.
Lets do a positive but firm/agressive campaign. I could be wrong but it seems that a lot of bills sent to congress and senate, many times, get additional items (amendments) added to it before they are approved.

It is important to have voice in congress for asylees at this moment. No voice means no actions for us. No congress person will have time to pay attention to outside opinions. They only care own issues be heared.
