you are right, you are basically sponsoring u're self. except you are working for a huge cooperation, the chances are usually very slim.... for most applicants.Employment visas and family based visas are like apple and oranges. They might be in the same store, but are completelly different. We go thru a lot of scrutiny on regard to our education, job etc.
And fb dont, because the benefit is based on a family relationship and eb benefit is based on the need of new workers in the country. It is very frustrating to get a GC thru the job, but at the end the process is almost self sponsored; if you are a good worker, most likelly you will get your gc. After 180 days basically you depend on you and in your capacity to keep a job.
Employment and Family based are totally different animals. I am classic example for that. I waited 6 year 7 months for Employment GC and still waiting. My employment based 485 was filled ages back and CIS didn’t even care about it. I finally got tired of that and filled AOS based on the marriage and here I am with a Interview letter!!!. What a waste of time and money but the good thing is I’ve got my EAD within 2 months of filling EB 485 so it’s no biggie for me since i can start working but there’s lot of EB AOS guys whose been waiting for years at the mercy of CIS.
Good luck
yep emloyment based to me is like not knowing where its going to land you but you just have hope and wait patientlly.
Why are you commenting with random/bogus things on every thread?![]()
