Want to know your application is taking so long?

May be we should have a rule.

When a question has been answered, there is no need for repetitive tag along comments saying exactly the same thing :) I think that's what is meant by "commenting with random/bogus things on every thread"

That is what I meant... maybe just one affirmation (to confirm the answer) or two. But no more than that is needed if it is not adding anything new or important to it.

But then. There is freedom of speech

That coming from a person who opened a thread on an article which was mentioned in at least 4 other threads and nothing to do with FB immigration.

Good grief you guys! Stop it now! LOL.

I read the article that PR posted. I work at a large tech company with alot of highly skilled immigrant workers. A few that I know were doing a mad scramble to get their papers in. They were really stressed out because of the backlog. I felt bad for them.

My husband was in the process of getting a greencard through his work and it was taking FOREVER. I am not sure how long he was in the process but I know it was years.

Then we get married and whammo.. Interview Letter in the mail. I do wonder why one process takes longer than the other. I mean, compared to employment based GC, a marriage GC is lightning fast. Does anyone know why the marriage based GC is so much faster?

Yes it is because one is married to a USC. And being a USC one deserves the right to get their spouse legally resided and live hapilly..
Also goes back to the US stand on " Strong Family Values"that supports an immigration ammendment based on family gategory that allows almost immediate filling and processing of spouse and immediate family memebers for PR....
compared to a foreigner who wants a job in America, got a job and then files for GC.... that's why.
