Walk-in Oath - Has Anyone Tried It?

I am wondering if anyone is aware of a situation where someone was able to do a walk-in oath prior to their assigned oath date? Thank you.

Unlike walk-in FP's that may be possible depending on your DO, from what I understand, walk-in Oaths are not possible.

I do not see how this is possible. The naturalization certificates are pre printed before the ceremony and they do not have a blank certificate to fill out for you even if the officers on the scene are inclined to help you out. If you have a legitimate reason to move up your oath date, schedule an info pass appointment and make the request in person to see if they will bite.

Your naturalization certificate will not be ready in a previous oath ceremony, so what is the purpose of taking oath without certificate?

You have to attend again your ceremony and wait at the end (3 hours later) as anyone else for the certificate.

Don't know the answer to the question, but it would be highly entertaining to try this strategy at one of the 3000+ applicant LA ceremonies. Might make a good youtube "FAIL" video...

I agree with poster thankful above. The oath ceremony requires the naturalization certificate to be prepared with your photo and name. That list of oath takers is provided ahead of time and in same-day ceremonies it takes at least an hour or two to prepare all the naturalization certificates. The only way to even potentially walk-in is if you had an oath scheduled that day already and you wanted to do it earlier in the day or later. But achieving success with a straight-up, unscheduled, walk-in oath request seems highly improbable.
