I am writing to you to see if you can send a list of things to do in order to get my final assylum approval.

I was granted recommended asylum on August 2004 and since then been waiting for my final approval. I admit I got frustrated and lazy chasing my final approval. The lawyer who took my case left the city and not practicing anymore.

I've done the FOIPA, talked with the asylum office, ....but to no avail.

In addition, I heard of a phone number in DC that can help????
Do you know of anybody who filed a lawsuit against USCIS??

Thanks for the tips guys.

That's definitely name check. I don't know what you can really do.
I am on the same boat as you, Pending I-485 due to name check.
Your approval will never be final unless your name check clears.
Best Luck.

You can ask senior USCIS officials in Washington DC to intervene. This has produced positive result in many instances. Let me know if you desire to have that phone number.

If this fails then you can sue the DHS in federal court. A federal judge can issue the DHS an order to process your case. Lots of people have sued the CIS with good results.
