Waiting for date to become current

I have a friend who is on TN and everything is approved he is just waiting for the date to become current, so he can apply for AP and EAD. Can he switch jobs now (and transfer the green card process to another employer) or does he have to wait until get EAD?

When you say "everything is approved" that's like saying your kid is going to MIT the day after you pass the pregnancy test.

What is "everything"? From what you say, the most he has at this point is a PERM approval.

That is barely anything in the GC scheme of things.

Your friend doen't have TN does he . He has H1.

Go ask somewhere else... better yet, have your friend ask the questions, he may do a better job.
