Waiting Asylum decision

1 mail to USCIS in June 25 - no answer
1 email to USCIS in November - answer: Decision is pending.
Representative - no response.
Want to try ombudsmen, but a little later, because I already sent one request for my EAD renewal - applied 15 month ago and still no decision.
I think ombudsman office was shut down shortly after the new administration came in.
I would try "outside of processing time" request at this point.

if you check the news and uscis site you'll see that the information is incorrect. if it's efficient - another question.
did that request in September. no answer.
sent a request to a senator on 11/23 - they asked yesterday about my first request to the representative I did in October with no answer - at least some response.
But taking into account that all decisions are frozen, that could be no use.

Good to hear that ombudsman has resumed operations. Thank you for this info.

I honestly see all of these requests as a basis for WOM and nothing else.
During my 14 months wait for decision, I inquired to USCIS multiple times, senator, congressman, ombudsman, outside of processing times.
All requests came back with the same generic response from USCIS.

Hope you get your decision soon.

unfortunately in current conditions, when all the decisions are frozen, WOM looks like a direct and faster way to get your whole case in court - not sure I'd like to be be a quine pig

100%. No need to risk during such unstable times.
Filing WOM now might be equal to shooting yourself in the foot.

However, you can still collect responses from different agencies during that time in case if you'll need them in the future.
