WAC-01-277 Talked to IIO- Did I spoil my case?

Hi All,

Talked to IIO today---RD7/27/01 ND--9/7/01
As usualan Oriental lady told that everything is fine and case has not been assigned. Mentioned to her that my case is eight months old and cases later than my are being approved and on what basis cases are being processed. Also told her that with great difficulty I could get through to IIO.
She politely told that she can not give any other info however she told me to hold the line.
After two three minutes she said she has a copy of my case and told me that she could tell an Officer to look into the file since it is already due?
Now I am getting scared it may work out positively or negatively depending upon the Officer
Any similar experiences

Usually you cannot rely on the IIO telling you whether the case is assigned or not,We have seen many cases where the IIO saysthe case has not been assigned and by evening you find in the AVM that the case has been approved.
Coming to your case where she has said that she has taken a print out..
Negative:May get an RFE (better than not knowing anything about your case.As susch RFE cases are getting approved in 10days after reply)
Positive: you would get your approval anytime now

I had called end of Feb, I talked to IIO and she said the below,

"I understand your problem. we know cases are being approved out of turn. I will take a printout of your case and forward it to the officer for action".

Guess what? I called again on March 14 or 15th and my case was still not assigned.
Nothing changes with INS. You just have to wait and keep your fingers crossed. Pray to God that somehow your case gets picked up and you get approved.

My RD 07.25.01, ND 08.20.01, WAC 01-262-5XXXX, FP done on 12.12.01 and AV ...Pending Review.
My ND is much before yours and I am still waiting.

This restaraunt serves an excellent Hyderabadi Biryani on weekends
also You can try the restaraunt opposite Ashoka at Cerritos

Good food there

That\'s Rocky\'s Tandoori

They serve biryani on weekdays too.. but somehow thier biryani on weekdays is tasteless. Always have biryani there on weekends. Hey do you know any authentic south indian/udupi place in the valley?

Rocky\'s Tandoori - I have had Biryani only on weekends there

But South Indian food - no not in the valley

I have had Dosa in Hollywood and also at India Sweets

But for good stuff I drive to Cerritos and have Dosa at Woodlands and Udipi Palace

Have You tried the weekday Buffet at the Woodlands - I tried it once
it is excellent

No Woodlands does not server Buffet on Holidays and weekends

I like Woodlands, but it\'s too far for me.. and can\'t make there on weekdays for buffet. I don\'t like the south indian food at india sweet and spices. they really don\'t taste south indian. you know me being from mangalore i like only that real udupi stuff. You tried taste of india on ventura and topanga canyon? they have good and cheap lunch specials on weekdays and champagne buffet on weekends.
 
Have you tried Madras Tiffin Cafe in Cerritos...

They are in the big strip mall next to Cerritos Center(?) which I think is a mall. It is on Gridley a little North of 183rd St. It used to be a place called Dasprakash. They have authentic S. Indian food also. In fact their Sambaar is thicker and tastier than Woodland\'s. Woodlands\' sambaar is very weak and runny. No daal/vegetables in it at all. Downside, Madras Tiffin\'s sambaar sometimes smells of chlorinated water. BTW, they also have buffet on weekdays like Woodlands.
We used to frequent Udupi until Woodland\'s came up. Since then we thankfully have had no need to go to Udipi. We really hate the mournful demeanor of the folks at Udipi. They look like they hate their job.

Yatri Niwas on SP Road opposite Gymkhana or a little further up the road towards Begumpet. Yikes, with a name like that, can they really make authentic Biryani? Apparently they can!

Shaan was good 2 years back when

they started, not now they lost touch.But there first restraunt called shanawaz couple of miles from shaan is still the best place for biryani
