VSC / Newark ASC - Mail for FP notice received past the FP appointment date-Any one has encouterd ?

We received FP notice in mail today for my spouse.
The FP appointment date is 01/06/2009 and the notice date is 12/23/08.

I think it is the mail delay that caused this issue.
Has anyone encountered this issue ?.

Advice, thoughts on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated.

PS: We are planning to go for a walk-in tomorrow 01/08/2009 to Newark ASC.

ASC took us as walk-in and we got the FP done.
