VSC N-400 Timeline - August/September 2007

I haven't seen a VSC timeline here, so I'm starting one for all the applicants who mailed in their N-400 during August/Septmeber 2007. I sent mine in on August 31, 2007, via Priority Mail. Needless to say, the check hasn't been cashed, and I haven't gotten a receipt. I sent in my FOIPA request today (10/15). I'll keep posting more updates as time progresses. Anyone else is welcomed to chime in.
 
I have sent application on Aug 23rd no news so far checks not cashed yet.

As of October 19, 2007, USCIS has completed initial data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

*California Service Center and Vermont Service Center are currently assisting in data entry of employment-based I-485 and related forms (I-140, I-765, and I-131) received at Texas Service Center between the dates of 7/28 and 8/8. As a result, some applicants may receive receipt notices from a service center different than the one they originally applied to.

As you can see, all service centers are now showing the processing date for the I-485 as 8/16/07. From what I've read in other threads, once that date reaches 8/17/07, which was the deadline for filing I-485, the I-485 receipting will be done, and N-400s will be cleared for processing. I am strongly hoping that we'll begin to see progress in this week's update.
 
Thread maintenance

Hello all,

I have noticed that there are some threads related to Vermont service center for N400. It could be very easy to post it in one thread instead of creating multiple threads. The reason is that people will post it in different threads and we have to track those. Thanks for your understanding!.

Regarding time line, as per conference call hosted on Oct 12th USCIS will be completing the receipt of I-485 by this month end. So we can see the progress only after the first week of Nov.
 
My timeline

I live in Westchester. I sent my forms over for N-400 08/10 and received the postal acknowledgment 08/17 from VSC. I havent received any communication from USCIS and my check hasnt yet been cashed.
 
Sankaranr, you're right. Since the other threads seem dormant, let's keep this one going.

Sheerfun, all indicators point to the fact that the I-485 processing will be completed by this week, which will clear the way for the receipting of N-400s. Looks like our checks will be cashed very soon.
 
In one of the threads posted today, someone who sent in their N-400 to NSC on 8/27 had their check cashed today. Looks like the gears may have finally begun to turn.

Since CSC and NSC have shown what appears to be remarkable progress with cashing checks, has anyone who filed at VSC during August/September 2007 had their check cashed yet?

I have been a lurker for a while and finally decided to add my $.02.

Vorpal, see my sig.

I mailed my N-400 app to VSC on 7/23 and as detailed, that is what is happening for my case right now.

Edit: I had paid via a bank check and called Bank on 11/1/07 to see if cleared. I got a copy but was unable to read the case # so th that is when I decided to call.

Seems like you were one of the lucky few to beat the rush of the end of the month applications!
 
Check Cashed

I mailed my application on 08/07 (INS received on 08/17) and my check was cashed last week on 11/07 in VSC.

Thanks for the info. This is definitely a good sign. Have you been able to make out the EAS no. on the back of the check?
 
Hi All,

Just wanted to let everyone know that my check cashed yesterday (11/13). My priority date is 8/20 (this is the date USCIS received my application). So it looks like VCS is moving.
