How long from RD of 485 till FP notice?

reason i ask is that my RD is Aug 20 and my wife is planning to go to india from 1st week of dec till last week of Jan...looks like the fp notice plus the FP date will fall in this time..

thoughts?
 
RD 06/27/01; FP-?

Filed i-485 first time on February 1997 and had fingerprinting in March 2001. But for some reason had to file i-485 second time on
6/27/01. Do I have to wait FP if I did it 6 month ego, but with another application?

FP is schedule on NOV 28 at New Rochelle, NY
 
RD 07/10; ND 08/25; FP 10/25 (received) Dallas, Texas

Finger print is scheduled on 11/21 in Dallas Texas.
