My dad was rejected for his B2 visa the second time last week from Bombay consulate but this time around he was given a visa consideration letter.

His case is that he's retired, all 3 kids are in the US - citizen and GC holder and my mom has passed away. Its hard for him to show real times to India even though he owns a house and has bank accounts.

Has anyone received the same letter and what has the outcome been?

The letter states that they will consider his state and get in touch with him.

Any information is appreciated.

thanks,

You sure he has been told that his application is rejected? It seems the consulate hasn't made their final decision yet.

You are right. I stand corrected that his visa application has not been rejected the second time as the consulate has not made a decision yet.

My dad had a first call from the US Consulate last week inquiring about his father's full name, my dad's full name and my mom's full name.

We are all very hopeful...

Hello Triple Citizen,

My dad was finally given a mullitple 10 year visa.

About 4 days after the initial call from the US Consulate, he
received a 2nd call asking him to drop his passport and the 212(g) letter
that he was given at VFS. He received his stamped passport this past Saturday.
